Advanced Pro Tools

During this session we looked further into effects in Pro Tools. We experimented with tools such as EQ and how the different options can help us create new sounds that are taken in different locations and areas. Such as changing the EQ to sound as if it's coming from inside a large church. We also used a bus to create EQ on so if we wanted to use the same EQ on another effect we could do so easily without creating a huge file. We also looked at reverb which helped to extend sounds as an echo helping us beuild a scene. With the use of buses we were able to put an effect on multiple tracks so we didnt have to re create it everytime. The idea behind this was so we could use these effects in our final pieces to make them more intresting and give them an experiemental feel.

One thing we also went over that I did not incorporate into this piece but would like to use in my final piece is the reverse. I think the reverse could be a very unique idea that when used in a specific way can make my piece very intriguing. I am considering using it as a rewind like in a VHS tape rather than done randomly.

We went on to create our own audio pieces using a range of effects without a specific narrative to make it experimental.
